NFC, or Near Field Communication, is a technology for exchanging data between a reader and any compatible mobile terminal.
From the Z20/Z30 POS terminal (Android)
To ensure better compatibility, we recommend installing the Simple Keyboard app.
Here is how to proceed:
Install the Simple Keyboard application from the Play Store.
2. Open the application and click OK.
3. Select Simple Keyboard only, then exit the application.
You can then connect the NFC reader to a USB port.
From a Windows PC
If you are using the NFC reader on a PC, you must change the hardware language by downloading the driver from the ACS website.
Select version 2 and open the application file named “ACR1281U C2 Configuration Tool V201”.
The software will open the following window:
Connect the NFC reader to your PC, then:
Click “Refresh” so that the reader can be detected.
Click “Connect” to connect the reader to the software.
Select “English” under Keyboard Layout, then click “Apply”.
To check that the “English” language setting has been correctly applied, click in the “APDU Logs” area and scan the NFC card or badge with the reader. If a sequence of numbers and letters appears correctly, the configuration is correct.
Linking an Internal Badge
Download the POS interface on your Windows PC if you have not already done so.
Contact our Support team to request the POS login credentials and the access code for your profile.
Then:
Connect the NFC reader.
Log in using your code.
From the dashboard, click the relevant icon and go to “User Settings > Badge Management”.
Scan the NFC card or wristband using the reader to link it to the currently logged-in team member.
A confirmation message will appear to validate the association.
Once linked, the team member can scan their card using the reader to be recognized and log in without entering their access code.
Linking a Badge to a Player Team
You can also use the NFC reader to assign a badge directly to a team, only from the POS interface.
To do this, the following options must be enabled:
“Place management” by TEAM from the activity settings, under the “General Information” section.
To access this section:
Menu > Room > Room > Hover over the relevant room > Click “Edit”
The team/player badge option must also be enabled in the general POS settings.
(This parameter is already set up for Bomb Squad)
From the POS interface:
Click on the booking, then click the relevant icon to launch the NFC reader.
Scan the NFC card or badge to assign it to the team.
The corresponding icon will appear on the booking slot to indicate that the NFC assignment has been completed.
