Overview
Fully Kiosk Browser is an application that allows you to block your tablet on a web page. No other application can be used, allowing you to safely leave it with your customers.
This is a paid application worth 5 euros that can be downloaded on Google Play.
Given the wealth of features it provides, we cannot develop a similar application for the same price.
Android 6 and lower
For best performance, please also install Android System WebView.
First setup
Important : When this application asks you for rights, please grant them. Otherwise, the application will not be able to work properly.
Launch Fully Kiosk Browser
Access the menu by dragging from the left, off the screen, to the right
Go to Get a PLUS License and follow the instructions
Go to Settings Remote Administration (PLUS)
Enable Remote Administration
Enter a password of your choice in Remote AdminPassword, this will allow you to access the application from a computer on the same local network as the device!
Activate Remote Admin from Local Network, and write down the Internet address below:
Return to the previous menu
Use the password created in Remote Admin Password to log in.
You now have remote access to your device =)
Below are the most important actions or information:
Start URL: the address that will be used when the application starts
Maintenance mode: allows you to block the device remotely
Last App Start Restart App: allows you to restart the application
Screen status: allows you to remotely turn off the device screen
Battery level: allows you to remotely monitor the battery status
By clicking on the top left to open the menu, you can access the configuration settings via Settings. Please refer to the Recommended Settings section for an optimal configuration.
Once the configuration is done, you can save it for later import, in the "Export/Import" menu
On 4escape, open the Live] and click on the icon in the upper right corner of the Room linked to the device
A window will open asking you to go to Connect and enter the given code.
Copy the unique URL of your device into the address bar of your browser. it will look like something like this https://.4escape.io/live//*
Open the settings of the Fully Kiosk application via your browser (in our example: http://192.168.0.107:2323)
In the Web Content Settings configuration category, edit Start URL to enter the unique URL of your previously copied device.
Activating "Live" on a configured device
Launch Fully Kiosk Browser on your device
Go to Settings > Kiosk Mode (PLUS)
Enable Enable Kiosk Mode
Press the Return button on your device
To the question Switch Kiosk Mode on?, answer YES
Android will then offer you to use Fuly Kiosk Browser as your home screen, click on "Always"
Your device is now ready to be used by your guests:)
Disabling Kiosk mode
Access the menu by dragging from the left, off the screen, to the right
Enter the PIN code entered in the settings ("1234" by default)
Choose Exit Fully, then Disable Kiosk Mode
If Android asks you, select the application launcher of your choice ("Google Now launcher" by default), then Always
